From Fred Groves UK Apulia Italy
We have just returned from a great tour in Apulia but very hot in July! The itinerary was perfect with a blend of traditional houses ( Trulli) Farmhouses and good quality hotels with very interesting destinations each day all very worthy of visiting. We had a great holiday thank you
From Sarah Bedford Uk - Italian Cycle Resort
Yet again we have had another brilliant holiday. The weather was colder than it should have been but the new De Rosas were wonderful- Bruce had a X-treme lite and wanted to put it in his suitcase. I had a Merak- the lightest bike I’ve been on. We mixed trips with guides with our own self led tours as we know the area fairly well by now but even so found some new and unspoilt roads to ride along. Italian drivers were as usual particularly polite to cyclists. The hotel is now exquisite. The Well Centre is superb and stopped any stiffening of the body so we felt fresh enough to tackle 100 km rides every day even at our age. There’s a big jacuzzi, an outdoor pool, a steam room and a sauna as well as other luxuries such as a mentholated ice water spray and then a relax room which we used for up to an hour. Despite the food which is limitless and just what you need (well, I don’t actually really need five desserts!) we lost a little weight and felt ten times fitter. As ever the welcome was hugely warm and it speaks volumes that some of the staff are still there after at least the four years that we have been going. And the little things that make all the difference like the cycle clothing daily laundry service is what makes us keep going back. That and the countryside which is varied and peaceful. Thanks once again for all your help.

Another lovely holiday again , our third with Hooked on Cycling.
From Aisling UK Sardinia
Just back from Sardinia, best holiday ever. Cycling was challenging, we were complete novices but we did it, all those hills! but it was a wonderful experience , what a perfect way to see that beautiful country. I think we are hooked... Can't imagine another cycle that would combine so much in terms of quiet roads, breathtaking scenery etc, let me know which of your other cycling holidays would compare, for next year or do we have to go back to Sardinia?
From Charles UK Sardinia
I never emailed you to say thank you for our mini tour you organaized in Sardinia for us in October. It was fantastic, we loved every minute (well except some of the party on the uphill ones, anyway). We were particularly impressed by the local organization, especially when he came out on Saturday night to fix my broken spoke and warped back wheel.
From Corine Hickey Ireland Sardinia
Just to let you know we had a fantastic trip to Sardinia. We're only back as we stayed on for an extra week. We thought the itinerary was superb, it was harder than I thought it was going to be but a great challenge. All the hotels were very nice and the food too

Grant and Andrea Sayer UK Western Sicily
We really appreciated your advice on the places to stay for the additional nights - they were great choices for our down days. The Sicily tour was a great mixture of routes , coast and terrain. Deffinantly interested in one of your tours in the future’
Paul Muir UK Pearls of Venice
‘Good route choice from start to finish, getting in and out of towns was well planned if a little complicated. The accommodation at Volparro was really excellent, view from trattoria was stunning. From Mestre to Chioggia was a delight, views great and stopped for long afternoon break by the coast. Padova to Vincenza was really good, as soon as we got out of Padova a view of the hills opened up and made all the difference. Good route choices all day, the hotel San Raphael was excellent.
Helen Tout UK Italian Cycle Resort

I've recently returned from one of your orgainsed cycling trips through Tuscany. It was superb; weather, people, food, accommodation. Particularly the Farmhouse Podera de Rosa near Lucca. I found the guidebook with printed notes very useful. I would recommend the trip to any of my friends.
Linda Hamilton South Africa Italian Cycle resort
I just wanted to let you guys know that we had a great holiday in Italy, the hotel was great, the staff excellent and the food – well I think both Brent and I went back to SA heavier than we left, and we had ridden our bikes every day !!. We loved the cycling there and the guides were very good
Nigel Rees UK Coast to Coast Italy
Thanks for your phone message concerning fixing a pre-tour meeting with Giovanni - I didn't pick up the message until after we had actually met as we set off for Italy before you phoned. The meeting went smoothly, the Tour product was excellent and as you advised Giovanni was very helpful not least in resolving the odd minor hiccup. Very pleasant and knowledgeable guy. We thought the route was really well constructed and whilst the Hotel Santa Fiora was comparatively average we recognised some of the difficulty in finding hotels in that particular area. The other hotels were either good or in the cases of the Italia in Urbino and Cortona, and the Antico Casale in Scansano, exceptional.
We are hoping to try the Mont Ventoux / Provence Independent tour next July once we know the details of the Tour de France so we can dovetail the two. If its as good as our previous 3 Hooked on Cycling trips we will be very satisfied
Carol Gay Australia South Tuscany tour
I recently went on a Hooked on Cycling tour of Southern Tuscany, staying at Pieve a Salti, Buonconvento and a hotel in Pienza - and taking cycle tours from these bases. All was good - particularly the accommodation, food and bikes (we had first rate hybrids).
Terry Pillar US Bolzano to Venice
Had a great time , a challenging route in places but we had great fun, the restaurants you proposed were lovely. We would both do it again sometime.
Kim Smith Norway Family in Tuscany

Mary Hollett Scotland Italian Cycle Resort
We had a fantastic time at the ICR. Great staff, location and facilities - the Wellness centre was particularly welcome after a long ride. The food was superb, certainly the best we have had on any holiday.
Hans Thijsse South Africa Jewels of Venice
The bikes were excellent. The route description was very very good, so detailed that you would struggle to go wrong (except for sometimes inside the larger towns). The way mark stickers on the traffic sign posts also helped a lot! The hotels were good. A wonderful holiday
Jennie Mortin USA Pisa to Florence Italy
We had a great holiday. The man at the desk at the hotel in Pisa was very helpful. Hotel Carignan was great, super location and very fine breakfast. But our favourite was the Agriturismo near Vinci, where the woman was delightful (we conversed in French) and the dinner mind-boggling. As noted before, the Park Palace in Florence was simply superb, thanks again

Tim Andrews Australia Dolomites and Cinque Terre
Last year in September and October I did your Dolomites and Cinque Terre self guided trips and they were both wonderful trips and went very smoothly. I have finally found time to thank you (better late than never). The Dolomites trip for me, in particular was a stand out, what a superb place and the accommodation was first rate.Any minor quibbles were a thousand times eclipsed by the smooth running of the trips, the choice of accommodation and by far the most important, the wonderful selection of the walk trips. I have already recommended you to a number of people who have had a look at the photographs of my walks.
Karen Baron USA Chianti Trek
We have just return after a wonderful holiday in Chianti. The hotels Park Palace and Le Loci were fabulous. The instructions caused us no problems and overall the experience was very good. We would recommend the holiday to anyone else in the future.
Sohale Dubai Walk Resort Dolomites
We had a wonderful holiday in Val di Fiemme. Thanks for making our stay in your hotel so memorable. Coming back to Dubai was a rude shock in terms of the high heat, humidity and pressure of dealing with the backlogs on the work front….such is life ! Hope to connect with you sometime in the not too distant future…if not in Dubai then maybe another trip soon to Castello
John Dickerson UK Tuscany Dream
Just back from the Tuscany Dream and a few days in Rome. We just thought we ought to let you know how great the walking were, we absolutely loved it. The holiday gave us a real variety of so many things - hotels, food, drink and landscapes. The hotels, although all different, were excellent - the highlight had to be the one at Touro sul Trasimeno (Capriccii dei Meirion) such peace and tranquility. The one at Bagno Vignoni was quite spectacular, a 16th century B&B!! For food it had to be the gastronomic experience of Il Gigglio in Montalcino. We were very lucky with the weather, hot but not too hot, plenty of shade and no rain - perfect. Although, towards the end of the walk we did see some dark clouds, we managed to avoid the rain and any breeze was more than welcome. The directions were excellent.
Jayne Rolfe UK Lake Como
I just wanted to let you know that we have just returned from our holiday in Como and to say what a fantastic time we had. The maps and directions were easy to follow and the walks were fantastic (we followed the harder walks). The highlight of our holiday was staying at Locanda Mose with Giovanni and his wife. They were extremely welcoming, friendly and she is a great cook, knowing exactly what walkers need.
Malcom Ridley UK , Bolzano to Venice
We had an excellent holiday, helped by good weather all the way and we will be looking to book with you again next year, perhaps the Moselle this time.
Hans Thijsse South Africa Tuscany Dreams
After not having done any walking for 14 months, it was a bit difficult to get started and the after first day we arrived in Cortona with very stiff muscles after coming down the hill. After that, we seemed to get fitter and every day the walking seemed easier. Everything worked out very well. Giovanni, the local guy in Arrezo was most welcoming and the hotels were all fine. The Capprici de Merion in Tuoro definitely took first prize, the Marzocco in Montepulciano last (we were sure the old lady who ran the place laughed when she put us in the furthest room on the top floor without a lift because we had the heaviest bag!). The four dinners were also a real event, especially the Gambe di Gatto (also in Montepulciano). The young couple who run the place really do their best to showcase the local wine, bread, olive oil and food! Pienza was our favourite town. The route description were very clear. We really enjoyed the walk, the luggage transfers worked well and every day the cases would be waiting for us.
